Cryokonservation

Cryoconservation of fertilized egg cells

. Cryoconservation of fertilized egg cells in the pronucleous stage is a common system today.
According to the German Embryo Protection Law (EschG 1990), a maximum of three embryos can be transferred into the uterus in the cause of the treatment cycle, in order for the pregnancy to occur.
Abundant fertilized egg cells in the pronucleous stage can be frozen at the request of the couple undergoing treatment and they can be used for a following treatment cycle.
The procedure is tried and tested, and it is safe. The chance that a pregnancy occurs is somewhat lower.

Cryoconservation of male semen material

. Cryoconservation of male semen material secures  future treatments. Alongside the sperms in ejaculate, testicular tissue with the sperms contained there can also be frozen.

. The sperm quality can undergo natural changes. Especially in the patients with strongly reduced sperm quality, it can make sense to freeze the sperm cells and to store them in order to use during one of the above-mentioned procedures.
On the one hand, this kind of storage guarantees carrying out the above-mentioned procedures, on the other hand it removes the psychological pressure that the patient suffers from on the follicular puncture day.
