. The probability of a pregnancy is dependent on many factors and is individual, i.e. it differs from patient to patient.

. Amongst others, the following factors that influence the occurrence of a pregnancy are:

the age, especially the age of a female patient at the moment of the treatment

    • the cause of involuntary childlessness
    • the hormonal situation and hormonal responsiveness of the female patient before, during and after the treatment. The hormonally controlled development of the fertile egg cells in the ovary, as well as the timely development of the cervical mucus as a place of embryo nidation is of particular interest here.
    • the number and the so-called quality of the embryos to be transferred after a successful egg cell extraction, fertilisation and development (please note that depending on the patient’s age, the number of embryos is restricted to 2 to 3 maximum)
    • as well as the number of already performed unsuccessful treatment cycles.
